Hold onto your leather jackets and crank the volume — this is the kind of rock history that makes your beer spill.

Motörhead have just announced The Manticore Tapes, a previously unreleased album from 1976, featuring eleven raw, unfiltered tracks from the first-ever studio session of the iconic ‘Three Amigos’ lineup: Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke, and Phil ‘Philthy Animal’ Taylor. The holy trinity of British rock ‘n’ roll chaos.

Recorded at the legendary Manticore Studios in Fulham, these sessions capture Motörhead at their most primal, fresh off the formation of the now-legendary trio that would go on to define a genre. They weren’t polished, they weren’t perfect — but they were loud, filthy, and fearless, and now, nearly 50 years later, you’ll finally be able to hear exactly what went down in that sweaty little studio in the summer of ’76.

This one’s more than just a collection of unearthed demos — it’s a raw snapshot of a band on the brink, just before they kicked the doors in and redefined heavy music forever.

Set for release on June 27, The Manticore Tapes is a must-have for fans, collectors, and anyone who’s ever thrown up the horns in the name of rock. Think of it like the sound of a bar fight set to music — and then some.

So crank it, blast it, and pay tribute to the era that birthed the beast. Motörhead lives on. And this time, they’re bringing the tapes.
