Morgan Evans is bringing his biggest-ever tour back to Australia this May and June

Words by staff writer

Morgan Evans is bringing his Steel Town Tour to Australia and New Zealand across May and June, with a Melbourne stop at Forum Melbourne on 23 May.

The Steel Town Tour marks Evans’ return to Australian stages following his Life Upside Down Tour, which took in 19 shows across 2023 and 2024 including two sold-out nights at the Sydney Opera House.

The seven-date run visits Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane before crossing to Auckland and Christchurch in June. US singer-songwriter Laci Kaye Booth joins as special guest across all dates — the pair previously collaborated on the duet Two Broken Hearts.

Booth was named one of Spotify’s Artists to Watch for 2026, with her 2024 album The Loneliest Girl In The World drawing on what she has described as a “dreamy country” sound.

The tour coincides with the release of Evans’ sophomore studio album Steel Town, out 20 March, with the title track dropping today. A Newcastle native who relocated to Nashville, Evans built his international profile on the back of 2017’s Kiss Somebody — a US chart-topper and Australian three-times platinum number one — followed by the four-times platinum Day Drunk. He now sits at over one billion career streams. The Steel Town album spans 11 tracks and draws on themes of home and identity rooted in Evans’ upbringing in Newcastle.
