Monster a Go-Go!

Melbourne’s newest gallery space is about to be taken over by monsters… art monsters!
Monster a Go-Go! brings together over 20 local and international artists in a group exhibition of soft vinyl art-toys. Artists such as Splurrnt, Grody Shogun and Elixir Toys will display their own unique take on the classic monster toy. Expect to see a wide selection of weird, wonderful, crazy and colourful creations! Dollhouse Gallery Brunswick owner, AJ Dinsdale, says he is “excited to throw [his] doors open to toy nerds of all stripes” and thinks they will be thrilled with the limited edition varieties, many on-of-a-kind, that artists have for purchase. Many artists are showing in Australia for the first time and most are worldwide exclusives to the Monster a Go-Go! Exhibition.

Confirmed artists include Grody Shogun, Elixir Toys, Splurrt, Naomi Knaff Stickup Monsters, Hints and Spices, Kayo Toy Co., ZNG Toys, Suragamark, Junk Shop Dog, Resin Lung Toys, King Crummy Dog, Mosatoys, Niki11111, Kachina! Kachina!, Underland Cosmic Studio, Night Terror oys with more to be added.

Monster a Go-Go! will be on display at Dollhouse Gallery Brunswick, which is nestled above This is Not a Toy Store at 289 Lygon St, Brunswick East, from 12-26 May. Opening night celebrations kick off at 6pm on 12 May. With many of these pieces highly sought after and likely to be snapped up by keen collectors, those wanting a specific piece will not want to miss opening night!
