The weekend will kick off with a performance from ska and jazz outfit The Cat Empire, joined on MONA’s outdoor stage by Sydney TED talk sensation and beatbox acrobat Tom Thum. Sunday will feature Hobart’s own taste of Motown, Standing in the Shadows of MONA. The free event combines African American gospel and Motown vibes from the Southern Gospel Choir, joined by Maria Lurighi, Deanna Parkinson, Brian Ritchie, Jim Moginie and Andrew Legg.
