Submit a short film to help celebrate MIFF’s 60th anniversary, and go into a draw to win a fantastic prize package!

Have a story to tell?

The Melbourne International Film Festival is turning 60 this year, and to celebrate this milestone the festival is offering all filmmaking enthusiasts the chance to be directly involved with the event.

Whether you are professional, amateur, semi-professional, or other, you are invited to submit a short film, which will go into the running to be screened at MIFF 2011.

Your film can be shot on any device, but must be no longer than six minutes long (including titles and credits). It must also feature or reference MIFF in some way, appearing stylistically, verbally within the narrative, or as central to the plot.

Entrants all have a chance to win an amazing prize that has never been offered before – The Ultimate Festival Experience.

This includes a screening of your film alongside professionals at the 2011 MIFF Short Awards, details of your film and credits in the MIFF official program guide that is inserted in The Age, a spot for your short film on the MIFF website and Youtube channel for all to watch over and over again, an exclusive Access All Areas invitation to MIFF red carpet premieres, industry events, after parties and screenings and a double-pass invitation to the famous MIFF Opening Night Gala, and one night’s accommodation at the Sofitel Hotel so you can party VIP style!

The deadline for entries is 5pm, Friday April 29.
