Midnight Driver

It'll all go down on June 24 at the Gasometer Hotel.

Get those bell bottoms ready – PBS 106.7FM is throwing it back with a disco DJ showcase. Midnight Driver brings together some of the station’s most iconic DJs for a big ol’ celebration of the funk.

Dance the night away to boogielicious tracks brought to you by MzRizk (Boogie Beat Suite), Milo Eastwood (Breakfast Spread), Ella Stoeckli (Stardust), and DJ Matab (Dounya). They’ll also be joined by the up-and-coming local soul spinner Bertie.

Get ready for non-stop party madness. Running from 7:30pm to 3am, the event presents plenty of opportunities to get jiggy.

Stay hydrated and motivated with a few of the Gaso’s ice-cold cocktails and bring back some of those ’70s moves on the dancefloor. We expect to see all of the classics: the lawnmower, the disco finger, the funky chicken…

MzRizk is one of our city’s most acclaimed DJs. In ’22, she snatched the trophy for Best DJ at the Music Victoria Awards. As well as her community radio show, she’s highly regarded for her eclectic, unstoppable sets.

Throughout her two-decades-long career, she’s shared the stage with international stars including Fatboy Slim, MF Doom, The Internet and Public Enemy.

Milo Eastwood has been riling up local partygoers for over 13 years. He’s best known for his early morning radio show which covers a wide range of musical styles and sets the day off to a bangin’ start.

A DJ since the ripe young age of eight, Ella Stoeckli has spent her life preparing to rock the Gaso. Fusing Latin, house and disco, she’ll be sure to deliver a vibey set.

DJ Matab offers disco jams with a global twist. Expect to hear touches of Arabic and Turkish music, Afro-fusion and Mediterranean rhythms.

Finally, special guest Bertie will share her soulful and cruisy tracks. The Melbourne-based DJ has been busy playing stages across the city.
