Michael Franti Spearheading A Sunshine Tour

msbandpress.jpg

In the name of sunshine, good times and good music Michael Franti & Spearhead are back on the road, bringing some new friends along for the ride.

The ever evolving kings of hip hop, rock, reggae, jazz, funk… I’ve probably missed a style or three, but there’s so many these men do, it’s hard to keep track. Anyway, Michael and his troubadours are heading back down under in support of the new album, The Sound of Sunshine.

And they’re not coming alone to our slowly darkening shores. As autumn turns slowly into winter and the days get greyer Franti and the gang are bringing some friends in to make some sunshine for you all.

Kim Churchill is no stranger to Australian shores and shows, having played at the Byron Bay Bluesfest and the Queenscliff Music Festival. He’s bringing his guitar, a wonderful voice and a whole mess of beautiful music to play for you.

And opening the show for everyone is Melbourne’s own Ráv Thomas. The singer and songwriter has been gaining some very positive press with his debut EP Lily and sing ‘Like a Game Show Host.’

Tickets for the April 19 Palace Theatre show are on sale now from Ticketek. Don’t miss out on this show.
