It’s another Tightarse Tuesday at the festival, with cut price tickets available for many acts on at the festival tonight. Big names on tonight for next to nix include Frank Woodley & Simon YatesNina ContiTommy Little, and Simon Munnery.

It’s also a time of change, with a bunch of shows on the wait out and a new bunch just about to start. The Tuxedo Cat changes it’s tune, with shows from Max AttwoodAbigoliah SchamaunJuliet Meyers, and Wrongtown finishing their runs tonight. New shows starting their runs tonight include Comedy’s AngelsThe Wizard SandwichesKitty Flanagan, Josie Long, and today’s MICF Daily guest Jason Chatfield. SHOW MOVES: More movement is on the schedule this week. Benn Bennett‘s Perfectly Mowed Lawn puts on a bonus edition tonight, 10pm at La Mama in Carlton. Tommy Little has added late shows in addition to his 8.30pm exploits – catch him 11pm Friday and Saturday at the Town Hall. Pr!ck The Musical are also doubling things up – see them 7.30pm and 9.30pm this Friday at Saturday at the Flying Saucer Club. Huggers, the showcase of family friendly comedy has moved locations and will now be at The Red Violin – no change for the date or time. And Yon and his Prism of Sexy Thoughts has moved times – the show now takes place at 10.30pm this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Beat writer and Comedy Festival Funny Tonne contestant Nick Taras is doing a series of videos for The Age. Aiming on seeing 150 shows this year at the fest, the bearded beast is 76 shows in and giving you his thoughts on every single one. If you couldn’t get yourself to the Adelaide Fringe Festival this year don’t worry – the folks at The Owl and the Pussycat are here to help you out. The Owl’s Adelaide Fringe Festival Showcase will offer several comedy shows that aren’t part of the MICF schedule. Tonight and tomorrow two shows are on offer – Kel Balnaves in Stop It! I Don’t Like It at 8pm, and Lori Bell’s character Granny Flaps in Loose Lips at 9.30pm. Headliners, the festival’s very special showcase of the best standup the United States has to offer launches a brand new lineup of acts. Featuring Jessica KirsonJames Adomian, and Brendon Walsh; Headliners relaunches this evening at 9.45pm through the end of the festival – shows at 8.45pm Sunday, no shows Monday. Comedy Pick ‘n Mix, Janet A Mcleod’s 30 minute sampler is back all week long. With four acts on each show, at twelve dollars a ticket how can you go wrong? Tonight’s show features Nick CodyGeraldine HickeyDil Jayasinha and a special guest to be announced. The show takes place at Three Degrees at the QV, tickets on sale now at TryBooking. Also back tonight is Aaaaaaaargh! It’s a bonanza of Festival Comedy from the UK, the showcase of British comedy at the festival. Tonight’s bill has Yianni Agisilou, Nikki BrittonKunt & The Gang and compere Nik Coppin. Check it out 6pm tonight at Red Violin, tickets from TixNoFee and at the door.

Can’t get to the Festival Club tonight? ABC2 comes to the rescue with Comedy Up Late – a series of half-hour comedy blocks taped just last week at the Hi-Fi Bar. Airing all week at 10:30pm, the show is hosted by Lawrence Mooney and features MICF comedians such as Josh ThomasSam SimmonsDeAnne Smith,Pete HolmesUrzila Carlson, and Trevor Noah. If you missed episodes one and two, they are now available on ABC’s catchup service, iView.

LATE NIGHT: But if you can make it down to The Hi-Fi, Festival Club is back with So You Think You Can Clown?  Tonight the club shows off the festival’s best clowning acts. Tonight on the bill: Les Chiche CaponDr Professor Neal PortenzaMooky CornishPedro Tochas plus more. So You Think You Can Clown? starts at 11.15pm, get your tickets on the door. Also on late tonight: The After Party keeps things going, 10.30pm at the Exford Hotel, Ryan Coffey keeps it late and loud, 10.30pm at the Hairy Little Sista. Blernshaw Comedy gets it weird, 10.30pm at the Fad Gallery, and if you were lucky enough to get yourself a ticket, Daniel Kitson plays to a sold out crowd at the Tuxedo Cat, 11pm tonight.
