OPENING: Hit of the Melbourne Fringe, North Side Story opens for a two night run this festival. 9pm tonight at the Melba Spiegeltent in Collingwood. Also at 9pm for the first time this festival is theatrical experience Le Noir. That one at the State Theatre at the Arts Centre Melbourne.
CLOSING: Closing tonight, Magic Steven and his World of Feelings. 8pm at the RMIT Kaleide Theatre in the city.
DAYTIME EXTRA: Live and Let Spy, a spy film parody hosts afternoon editions throughout the week. See it at the Clean Comedy Hub, 1pm and 6.30pm.
VENUE MOVES: Sean Murphy’s show Kids’ Party Confidential is on the move to Bluestone Church Arts Space in Footscray. See it tonight at 7.30pm. Joshua Glanc’s show 99 Schnitzels (Veal Ain’t One) is also on the move to the Tuxedo Cat for the rest of it’s run. That one is at 9.45pm.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE: If you speak Greek or just love your comedy in languages other than English, Kaerina Vrana performs her show About Sex in Greek tonight and every Thursday this festival. 7.30pm at the Elephant and Wheelbarrow.
FAMILY: One more week of school holidays, one more week of family friendly comedy in the daytime. Today’s highlights:
The (very) Big Laugh Out hosts three editions today at the City Square Pitch. See Kano Mami at 12.30pm, Justin Sane at 1.30pm, and Jessica Arpin at 3pm.
The 26-Storey Treehouse comes to the Playhouse at the Arts Centre. 10am, noon, and 3pm.
At 10.30am, Sabrina D’Angelo’s show Zen the Pigeon Girl takes off from the Northcote Town Hall
