ONE-OFFS: Today is a huge day for special events, with four one-offs happening at the festival today:

RAW Comedy holds it’s National Grand Final for 2015. Featuring some of Australia’s best up and coming comedic talent, Adam Hills will host the contest, and special guests Lazy Susan will contribute some sketches as well. 5pm today at the Town Hall.

Youth radio station SYN hosts Live from the House, a live MICF comedy special. The show features acts including DeAnne SmithRhys NicholsonAunty Donna, the 5 Minute News Hour and more. 4.30pm today at the House of SYN – 16 Cardigan St, Carlton. Entry is by gold coin donation.

Catherine Deveny put together Pushy Women, a one off showcase featuring, Julia Morris, Clare Bowditch, Fiona O’Loughlin, Rachel Berger, Alicia Sometimes, Fiona Patten, and more. 4pm today at Trades Hall.

I Got The Music(al) In Me: An ASRC Benefit comes to the The Toff in Town. Tina del Twist will host Andrew Hansen and Chris TaylorAndrew McClellandAnne Edmonds, Aurora Kurth, Die Roten PunkteEm RuscianoGeraldine Quinn, Luis of Lessons with Luis, Nath ValvoRandy, Rhonda Butchmore, Scott Brennan, Scott EdgarYon and more singing Broadway classics. All money raised goes to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. 7pm tonight.

DAYTIME: Plenty of fun stuff in the daytime today too. Amongst the early treats:

The Op Shop Tour will bus you around with comedians from 9.30am, outside the Town Hall.

Ali McGregor’s early show, CabHOORAY! 11am at the Spiegeltent at the Arts Centre.
Acclaimed British comic Daniel Kitson brings you Polyphony. Noon at the Northcote Town Hall.
The Exford Hotel hosts two afternoon shows. Ashes: The Comedy Showdown at 1.30pm. The Best of British 3.30pm.
Michael Chamberlin lets you know his Thoughts. 4pm, Imperial Hotel.
Also at 4pm, variety show Love Bites takes place at the Downstairs Lounge at the Grand Mercure Hotel.
Two shows at La Mama in the afternoon. Dancing With Dinosaurs in the Theatre, and The Broccoli Brothers in the Courthouse. Both of these at 4pm.
Adult Drama Class presents Skits and Bits, 4pm at Preshil Blackbox Theatre.
Celia Pacquola’s show Let Me Know How It All Works Out happens 4.30pm at the Victoria Hotel.
Terry North’s Who’s Your Daddy?: The Funny Side of Parenthood has an extra edition. 4.30pm at the Elephant and Wheelbarrow.
Rod Quantock & Fiona Scott-Norman reveal Drivetime with Two Leggy Redheads. 4.30pm at the Famous Spiegeltent.
Over at the Hi-Fi Bar, an afternoon edition of Puddles Pity Party. Also at 4.30pm.
Damian Callinan reads from The Lost WWI Diary, 4.45pm at the Town Hall.

George Kapiniaris & Gabriel Rossi sing songs in the San Memo Festival. 8pm at the Comic’s Lounge in North Melbourne.

FAMILY: Plenty of family comedy happening all day as well:

The (very) Big Laugh Out hosts three editions today. At the City Square Pitch it’s Justin Sane at 11.30am and The French Waiter at 12.30pm. Then at 2.30pm over at Federation Square, the showcase show features Peter and Bambi Heaven, Jessica ArpinKano Mami, Anna Pocket Rocket Lumb, the Djuki Mala, and the Trash Test Dummies.

At 10.30am, Matty Gray’s Grossed Out Game Show plays the Northcote Town Hall.
At 11am, Madeleine Culp and Shane Matheson show us some Dinosaur Guts. Melbourne Town Hall. Also at the Town Hall: Harley Breen and Heath Franklin in Captain Fun Pants and the Mystery of the Fun-o-Matic Fun Wand and Trash Test Dummies.
Also at 11am, the Yackandandah Young Players present Scaredy-Cat at The Famous Spiegeltent at the Arts Centre.
The 26-Storey Treehouse comes to the Playhouse at the Arts Centre. 11am and 2pm.
At 12.15pm at the Town Hall, choose between Impromptunes: Tune Your Own Adventure, Jon Bennett’s family edition of It’s Rabbit Night!!!, or Showko with Ninja Ken & Sushi Monster.
At 12.30pm, Comedy Club for Kids returns to The Spiegeltent at the Melbourne Arts Centre. At the Town Hall, The Walls of Poetica.
Improvilicious: The Improvised Guide to High School holds court at the Melbourne Town Hall from 1.30pm. Also at 1.30pm – Josh Earl in My Family’s Weirder Than Your Family.
Martz Putz in Putzin Around comes to Dockland’s Wonderland Spiegeltent. 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
At 2pm choose between Alex and Luke’s Make Your Parents Disappear at The Famous Spiegeltent or Mr Snot Bottom and The Curse Of The Stinky Silly Zombie Babies at the Melbourne Town Hall.
At 3.15pm, Huggers: The Family Friendly Comedy Show is on at Pleasance House.
Cautionary Tales for Children starts a short run, 3:15pm at the The Famous Spiegeltent at the Arts Centre.
