Today on MICF Daily, Mike speaks to master gravy sandwich Bart Freebairn about his show, Bitcoins, and literal shows such as ‘Boats’. See Bart’s show Double Happiness tonight through to Sunday April 20 at the Imperial Hotel.

Today’s MICF Daily Update:

The second fortnight of the festival launches tonight, and along with it a bunch of brand new shows. Shows starting tonight include Scott DooleyNick Sun, and FanFiction Comedy to name just a few. For full details on all of tonight’s shows visit the Comedy Festival website.

MovesRose Callaghan and Mates is on the move. The variety show moves to the Imperial Hotel for an extra week of shows – 6pm through Sunday April 13. Also on the move: Sitcom Theme Song Singalong and Trivia, which moves to the earlier time of 7pm Sunday through Wednesdays at the Provincial Hotel.

Special EventMusic, Mirth, and Mayhem returns for its 16th edition tonight. Featuring a selection of great comedians and musicians, proceeds from the show go to the Mirabel Foundation. 7.30pm at The Hi-Fi.

Today marks the beginning of school holidays, which means comedy for kids! Matty Grey’s Grossed Out Game Show takes place at 10.30am and 1pm, and The Lads Top Secret at 2pm. Both shows at Comedy on Collins, tickets from CleanComedy.com.au or at the door.

Exhibitions: Two photography exhibits are open today, and they are totally free. Comedy Mid-Air showcasing photos from Jim Lee and Stano Murin is open today at The Spiegeltent at Federation Square, and Alan Moyle‘s Behind the Curtain  is open from 4pm at the Arts Centre’s Curve Bar.

Another free event takes place at The Wheeler Centre tonight. Jeez Louise: This Is What A Comedian Looks Like comprises of a panel discussion about women in comedy. 6.15pm tonight, bookings via the Wheeler Centre’s website.
