Written and recorded between Melbourne and Los Angeles, the single pits meandering keys and sweeping strings against delicate vocal harmonies, building to a climactic crescendo before gently fading out.

“The chorus and melody came to me while I was working in a kitchen one day.” says Moriarty of the single.

“The rest of the songwriting was finished in LA with Coco. It’s a morbidly romantic love song, they’ve always been a favourite of mine.”

Produced by ARIA award-winning Tony Buchen (The Preatures, Smashing Pumpkins), ‘Let Me Down Easy’ intertwines Moriarty’s smoky rasp and Reilly’s silky crooning beautifully.

A return to form following his 2019 instrumental album, Romantica, the single sees Moriarty bringing his vocals and skilful songwriting to the forefront once again.
