Chasing Ghosts have been raging harder than ever and will continue to rouse the oceans in 2017 with the announcement of the I Am tour. Joining the foray will be Sydney grunge revivalists The Dead Love. Catch them at The Workers Club on Friday February 17.

As part of Metal Blade Records‘ 35th anniversary celebration in 2017, the Hall of Heavy Metal History will induct the label at an all-star ceremony, which takes place on Wednesday January 18 at the Anaheim Expo Center in Anaheim, CA. Hosted by television and radio legend Eddie Trunk, the awards show will also feature performances by the Dio Disciples (with Craig Goldy, Simon Wright, Scott Warren, Bjorn Englen, Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens and Joe Retta), Ross “The Boss” (with iconic guitarist Ross ‘The Boss’ Friedman, Rhino, vocalist Marc Lopes and Mike LePond), among others. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund.

Sepultura is poised to release an album that promises to once again reaffirm the band’s status as standard-bearers for heavy music. Recorded with esteemed producer and engineer Jens Bogren (Opeth/Kreator/Ihsahn/Paradise Lost), Machine Messiah is not just the band’s 14th studio album – a remarkable enough feat in itself – but it is also quite simply the most complete and absorbing album the band have made in the Derrick Green era. Machine Messiah is out Friday January 13 via Nuclear Blast.

Good Tiger – featuring former members of Tesseract, The Safety Fire and Architects UK – have released a new video for the track Aspirations. Good Tiger’s debut album, A Head Full of Moonlight, was initially released digitally after crowd-funding a staggering $45,980. The record was released on CD and LP this past April via Blacklight Media (the new label formed by Chris Santos – executive chef and managing partner of the New York City restaurants VANDAL, The Stanton Social and Beauty & Essex – together with Brian Slagel of Metal Blade Records).

France’s Svart Crown have announced the March release of their new studio album, Abreaction. The artwork was done byStefan Thanneurand perfectly captures the vibe of Abreaction with its voodoo-like atmosphere and eldritch inscrutability. Abreaction will be released as a limited deluxe Digipak that folds out to a cross (EU version), limited Digipak (US version), limited gatefold LP+CD with a 12-page LP-booklet and as digital download/stream. The first single Transsubstantiation will be released on Friday January 13.
