VietJet Melbourne@Vibing festival brings free cultural celebration to Docklands this December

Words by staff writer

VietJet Melbourne@Vibing is bringing together thousands of punters for a day-long celebration of everything that makes this city tick on 13 December at Ron Barassi Sr Park.

The free festival promises to be a proper melting pot of creativity, with electronic beats filling the Docklands venue. VietJet Melbourne@Vibing has secured official backing from the City of Melbourne and is set to attract between 4,000 and 5,000 attendees throughout the day.

The lineup reads like a love letter to Melbourne’s diverse creative scene, featuring familiar faces like Jessie Hillel and Kevin Silvester alongside a stack of rising local talent. Music genres span soul, pop, indie and electronic, while cultural showcases include Chinese Lion Dance, Indian classical and fusion and contemporary hip-hop performances.

Beyond the musical offerings, the festival will host literature panels, visual art exhibitions and conversations exploring Melbourne’s creative fabric. Food truck enthusiasts can choose from seven to eight vendors, while 12 to 15 marquees will showcase local creatives, community groups and businesses. The organisers have ensured dedicated seating areas for seniors, making the event accessible across all demographics.

Camp Epic Global is presenting the festival, which runs from 11am to 9pm with simultaneous programming ensuring there’s always something happening across the park.
