Melbourne’s geekiest cafe just got geekier with green milk and Vader cookies

Words by staff writer

The Force is getting stronger at Melbourne Museum – and apparently, it's also getting greener.

The Star Wars Galactic Cafe at Melbourne Museum has expanded its intergalactic offerings with new menu items. Since opening in June alongside the LEGO Star Wars: The Exhibition, the cafe has served more than 38,000 fans and is now introducing fresh options to its themed dining experience.

The updated menu brings Green Milk to Melbourne, joining the already popular Blue Milk that fans recognise from the films. New additions include a Darth Vader Cookie and Stormtrooper Cookie for those choosing sides in the eternal battle between good and evil.

The mains menu expands with Jakku Popcorn Chicken – golden chicken pieces with gochujang sauce and spring onion – and the Mustafar Burger, featuring a beef patty in a charcoal bun with American cheddar and burger sauce.

The kids menu remains galaxy-themed with options like the Endor Explorer Pack and Padawan Power Pack, while desserts include the Death Star by Chocolate – layers of chocolate parfait, sponge and crushed Oreos.

Beverages transport visitors to different planets with drinks like the Tatooine Sunset and Hoth Cooler. Original favourites including the Chewie Cookie remain available for those who’ve already picked their preferred treats.
