Melbourne Symphony Orchestra are resurrecting ‘The Evil Dead’ this Halloween

Evil Dead

30 years on, it’s still terrifying.

Halloween is just around the corner and to celebrate, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra are paying homage to an ’80s horror classic with Evil Dead in Concert.

Not only will The Evil Dead be screened in all its newly restored glory at St Kilda’s hallowed Palais Theatre, but the MSO will also be joined by the film’s original score composer Joe LoDuca on keys.

Whether you’re a diehard fan of the cult classic or you’ve never seen it, this is the ultimate way to watch The Evil Dead. Following a group of five college students staying in an isolated cabin in the woods, their trip descends into chaos after the friends accidentally summon an evil force.

Set to a live reimagining of LoDuca’s haunting score, Evil Dead in Concert is bound to have you checking under your bed this Halloween.

Catch Evil Dead in Concert at Palais Theatre on Thursday October 31. For tickets and more information, head to the MSO website
