Naarm-based Aboriginal rock duo Agnes Blue have revealed their latest single, ‘Invisible Man’, out today exclusively via Bandcamp. All proceeds from the single will be donated to Support Act and Victorian Aboriginal Health Service.
Hailing from Murukutchi (Maroochydore), the sibling duo comprises guitarist and vocalist Jack Blanford and drummer Frea Blandford. ‘Invisible Man’ sees Agnes Blue making their return after an extended break from music on the back of their 2018 single ‘Wasted’.
Recorded and mixed with legendary Sunshine Coast producer and engineer, Brian Goodworth at Big Rock Studios in Coolum Beach, ‘Invisible Man’ melds a riff-driven yet euphoric melody with lyrics exploring the unique heartbreak that comes with having a loved one leave your life too soon.
The single was also intended to mark the pair’s return to the stage after taking some time off performing live, but with COVID-19 putting touring plans on hold, Agnes Blue are instead using their new track to support two important charities in the current health crisis.
