Melbourne Recital Centre has joined forces with Crown Ruler to bring three months of live music to Southbank. Titled Sweet Summer Suite, the series will showcase some of Melbourne’s freshest and finest DJs with weekly sets in Melbourne Recital Centre’s brand new Forecourt.
Launched on Thursday January 14, the series will run until Saturday March 27, featuring two shows every week on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Kicking off last week with shows from Midnight Tenderness and Mandarin Dreams, the likes of Jamie Bennet & Mr Geoffrey, Fei Pao, Dj Possum, Winters, Lori and Zjoso will see out the rest of the January program.
February will bring sets by DJ JNETT, College of Knowledge, Miss Goldie, DJ Yangos, Elle Shimada, dj pgz, DJ Jimmy James, Sophie McAlister, Gallery B, Midnight Tenderness and Winters before March closes out the series with sets by Hybrid Man and Adriana, as well as welcoming back DJ JNETT, College of Knowledge, Miss Goldie, dj pgz, Gallery B, Sophie McAlister, Lori and Zjoso for encore performances.
Curated by Crown Ruler, the eclectic lineup represents Melbourne’s unique and eclectic electronic scene in a diverse, genre-bending program that promises no two nights will be alike.
