Melbourne’s first rare book week commenced in 2012 with huge success and book lovers from all over the world heading to Melbourne for it.

As a collaboration between ANZAAB, the University of Melbourne and eight other literary institutions, events will be held at libraries, historical societies and bookshops – a major attraction for book collectors, librarians and book lovers one and all.

Every year there are a variety of free talks and exhibitions as well as Melbourne’s Rare Book Fair to keep enthusiasts going.

Leading Australian and international antiquarian booksellers will bring together a diverse array of books together for collectors spanning topics from maps, literature and militaria to children’s books for any type of collector.

Whether you have your own personal collection and wish to add to it or want to learn more about book collecting, this is the perfect event to chat to book collecting experts and other book enthusiasts.

Rare Book Week runs from June 29 – July 8 2018
