Melbourne Now Has a Street Named After Vegemite

1 Vegemite Way, formerly Cook Street, Port Melbourne – is now the offical home of Vegemite.

Opening the street was Lord Mayor of Melbourne Robert Doyle, on site to show his support for the new street.  

“In the past, streets in Melbourne were named to suit the grand visions of historical pioneers,” said the Mayor in a statement. “Now Cook Street has been renamed to suit the grand visions and reality of today.”
