Bark Road's motto? Life’s too short to turn down good times with our furry friends.

Bark Road is Melbourne’s new dog diner and salon, which has opened at 118 Adderley Street, West Melbourne.

On the menu? The usual range of dog treats – cow’s ears with fur (yum), kangaroo boomerangs, duck feet, dried emu and crocodile tails, which we were surprised to learn are quite fragile.

However, if you peruse their shop, you'll notice there are also some fairly unique concepts. Fur Beer and Pawsecco, a whole range of dog cupcakes and ice creams, peanut butters and yoghurts, salad bowls and a $1,200 automatic cat litter box, among many more.

Then there's the wash and grooming services, parasite subscriptions, nail treatments and social hangouts on offer.

What brings it all back down to earth is the charity work Bark Road does - they support local non-profit charities for animals and donate towards protecting defenseless marine wildlife through Sea Shepherd.
