Nocturnal: Museum After Dark runs from 6pm, with galleries including First Peoples, Melbourne Story, Science & Life Gallery and Triceratops: Fate of the Dinosaurs all accessible throughout the night. The Stronger Families, Stronger Communities exhibition spotlights nine First Nations men from Dardi Munwurro’s healing and leadership programs, exploring themes of strength and cultural pride.
Food and drinks will be available throughout the evening, with a menu spanning chicken katsu burgers, vada pav sliders and nachos alongside cocktails, wine, beer and cider. Activities, music programming and expert-led talks will be announced closer to the date.
Visitors can wander through Dinosaur Walk, check out Melbourne Story’s collection of city icons, or explore Our Wondrous Planet’s large-scale projections of ecosystems from rainforests to coral reefs. The Bunjilaka exhibitions run until 8pm, while most other galleries stay open for the full session.
Tickets are on sale now through the Melbourne Museum website, with members scoring discounted entry. The Nocturnal series runs monthly, offering a rotating program of adult-focused content across the venue’s permanent and temporary exhibitions.
