Featuring viewing rooms, artist studio visits and more.

After pushing back its biennial event to February 2021, Melbourne Art Fair has announced an additional virtual event set to take place this June.

Exhibiting new and iconic works which were slated to be shown at this year’s physical fair, the digital iteration of Melbourne Art Fair will offer virtual Viewing Rooms across the week-long event.

Melbourne Art Fair and its participating galleries will host a range of experiences, including collector interviews and artists studio visits. Galleries involved in this year’s event span Australia all the way to Berlin, Tokyo, New York and beyond, with a total of 40 galleries on board.

“Although it’s disappointing the fair cannot take place as initially scheduled this year, we are bringing the experience to the public in a new and exciting way as we wait for the event in 2021,” said Melbourne Art Foundation CEO and Fair Director Maree Di Pasquale.

“Our goal with the Viewing Rooms is to keep the art community connected and provide a channel for art to continue to be a part of our lives until we can view and absorb it again via traditional methods at galleries and fairs,” she added.

Melbourne Art Fair Viewing Rooms will  be open from June 1 – 7, with the first two days restricted to VIP access. Register here for free access to the virtual event.
