What’s the band name and what do you do in the band? The Pinheads. I’m James Kates AKA Jimbo and I drum.
What do you reckon people will say you sound like? I’ve heard people say we sound like The Cramps, I don’t reckon anything from the album doesthough.
What do you love about making music? Slipping into the zone of zero thoughts and cooking up something unique.
What do you hate about the music industry? The way the whole machine operates seems pretty wild. The first thing that springs to mind is thecommercial cash-grabbing nonsense. Another thing that shits me is the lack of emphasis on thewhole experience of a one-off live performance, it just seems like a lot of touring bands are goingthrough the motions and not really doing anything exciting. I’m probably wrong.
If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be? Bowie would have something spicy to say. He’s a special boy.
If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it be?
I just googled the world’s richest musician and it’s sweet boy Paul McCartney. Sorry but I’d take him out, steel his cash and have a crack at fixing some world problems.
What can a punter expect from your live show? Loud, shloppy and sometimes sensual rock’n’roll.
What’ve you got to sell CD-wise? Our debut self titled album, people buy CDs eh?
