Meet Seekers, Gertrude Street’s new eyewear specialists offering wine, vinyl and killer frames

For an optometrist visit like no other, head to Seekers.

Newly opened in the heart of Fitzroy, Gertrude Street’s Seekers is the newest destination for luxury sunglasses and eyewear from the world’s most wanted brands and collections – Thierry Lasry, DITA, Balmain, Thom Browne, Native Sons, LINDBERG, Barton Perreira and Oliver Peoples.

Much like its eyewear selection, the store’s fit-out is a visual indulgence to the finest details.

Designed by Flack Studio, the Melbourne architects behind iconic Gertrude St. interiors including Castorina & Co. and Gabriel, the store features French blue hues and custom designed eyewear displays. Fodder for any design buff’s mood board.

Never miss a story. Sign up to Beat’s newsletter and you’ll be served fresh music, arts, food and culture stories five times a week.

Seekers is all about discovery. And what better way to discover yourself in the world’s most luxe eyewear brands than with complimentary in-store wines and vinyl sessions, happening each Friday afternoon with store founder and optometrist Dr. Jayson Stone.

With Seekers, you’ll also discover the world’s best eye health care.

Leading the way in advanced eye health tech, Seekers has invested in the TopCon OCT Maestro2, enabling fast, accurate scans and early detection for issues such as macular degeneration and glaucoma.

Although not common in routine practice, this service is offered as part of every consultation at Seekers.

Make an eye health appointment before the end of the month to go into the draw to win a pair of Thierry Lasry glasses. And be sure to drop in on a Friday for that complimentary splash of vino.
