The punk supergroup, which currently consists of Spike Slawson of Swingin’ Utters and Re-Volts fame, CJ Ramone of the Ramones, Joey Cape of Lagwagon, and Jake Kiley of Strung Out, has included a rotating door of members from Foo Fighters, NOFX, and more. They are one of the most infectious live acts of our time. Their no-off-limits approach to covers, including the most recent Dancing Queen, opens them to diverse audiences and brings the party wherever they go. Their incredible costume outfits make for a brilliantly fun time.

Spike Slawson comments on their latest album, recorded live from Madison: “I would like this to be considered indicative of what a live show by the Gimme Gimmes can be. The only difference is that there would be people that wanted to come and see us. What happened at this show, to me, is better than unfettered, unconditional applause from a lot of people. Golf-claps from about five people is how I want to hear a live record.”

Joining the Gimmes are the self-proclaimed “last punk band,” Dwarves, who have been kicking their unique blend of punk, garage, thrash, and experimental music around for 40 years.

Tickets to the wild time of Me First and the Gimme Gimmes go on sale Thursday 18 July from 12pm. Get them here.
