Celebrating the longest night of the year, Mansfield Lantern Festival has evolved into one of the most eagerly anticipated annual events in Victoria’s High Country.
Alli Walker of Walker Events has steered this beautiful celebration of the Winter Solstice in Mansfield, at the foot of snow-capped Mt Buller, since 2015. The festival is returning with a fun and packed long weekend program from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 June 2022.
The weekend celebrations will kick off in spectacular style with a Winter Solstice dinner hosted by the team at Delatite Winery. Saturday night sees the return of the much-loved lantern parade and festival in the centre of town to light up the darkness and ward off the mid-Winter chill.
Highlights include performance artists, open fires and buzzing market stalls showcasing the amazing, food, wine, craft beer and spirits produced in and around Mansfield. Two photography workshops held over the weekend will enable festival goers to brush up on night photography skills before putting them to use during the parade.
