The play is inspired by the life of convicted murderer Marvin Lee Wilson. Wilson was placed on death row in 2012, despite his IQ being measured at 61 – meaning his intellectual disability made him ineligible for the capital punishment he received. I Am A Miracle explores the cyclical nature of human history as it explores three figures, all trapped and searching for a miracle.
