Adapted from William Golding’s debut novel of the same name, Lord of the Flies will feature nine-member cast who become stranded on an isolated island. Unlike previous productions of the classic, the actresses will be marooned on a raised platform for the duration of the play.
Lord of the Flies was published in 1954 and details the story of a group of British boys marooned on an island. Throughout the novel, Golding explores the boys descent into savagery and their loss of civility, epitomising Darwin’s notion of the survival of the fittest.
