For its 43rd year running, fans can expect summertime festivities, community spirit and some of the most exciting artists from across the country. And who better to lead the charge than three of Aussie favourites?
Hailing from Brisbane, 25-year-old singer, rapper and musician Mallrat (AKA Grace Shaw) is one to watch. Renowned for her signature blend of upbeat hip-hop and indie pop, she’s made a name for herself through a number of standout singles including UFO, Charlie and Groceries as well has her debut album, Butterfly Blue, released in 2022.
Next up is New South Wales-based neo-soul musican Mo’Ju. An artistic force to be reckoned with, Mo’Ju is best known for their 2018 album Native Tongue. From touring with artists like Rufus Wainwright, Aloe Blacc and Hilltop Hoods to impressing local fans at some of Australia’s most beloved festivals, Mo’Ju is a seasoned veteran of the stage.
Rounding out the lineup is Jack Glass and Chris Stracey, also known as dance duo Bag Raiders, who will be sure to have the crowds on their feet. From Sydney, they’re best known for their iconic party hits, including Way Back Home, Right Here, How Long and Shooting Stars – likely one of the most popular Aussie electronic tracks of all time.
“St Kilda Festival continues to support the Australian music industry, while creating an unforgettable experience for festivalgoers. It’s great to see the community come together for a diverse day out which has something for everyone,” says St Kilda Festival Lead Sullivan Patten.
