Magnetic Frontman Goes Solo!

Lead singer of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros will release solo album in February!

Lead singer of Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, will release his debut self titled solo album Alexander next month.

During touring with the Magnetic Zeros over the past year, Alexander began building and recording songs from his bedroom.

"I wanted to be able to build an album basically with my hands, like building a house by my self", he says.

Before Alexander, all of the music he worked on had been especially with the Magnetic Zeros.

Alexander has been touring  Australia this month, performing at Big Day Out shows across the country with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The band now returns to studio to complete work on the outfits upcoming second LP, set for release next year.

Alexander will be released 25 February via Community Music/Inertia.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros will play at The Forum on February 1.
