Launched in 2009, MIM will feature the films The Legend Of Ben Hall, Crime & Punishment, The Trivialist, Lazybones and Innuendo.
Growing from what was once a single night of films, the festival now runs for a week, and provides an opportunity for Melbourne and Victorian filmmakers to showcase their work.
The festival also this year worked closely with Women in Film & Television to increase submissions from female filmmakers.
MIM will be held at some of Melbourne’s most popular cinema venues such as ACMI, Palace Cinemas and QV Melbourne.
