There’s a lot to like on We Are The Same, but there are also some fairly naff directives present which hold the track back. There are two vocal powerhouses jostling to outdo each other – which is great – but it’s all a bit too much in the realm of polished indie rock. It’s like an over-processed Frog Eyes. The promise is there, but there needs to be a strive for something more than phoning it in with basic Be My Baby beats and plonking “ooh-ah-ooh”s.
