Catch Lulu and her band celebrating the release of their new single ‘Little Death’ with a free headline show at Lulies Tavern on Friday 6 November, joined by Laura and the Hell Cutz!
Lulu is a fiery lil’ bedroom-pop-rock act based in Naarm / Melbourne’s inner north. Her sound’s guitar-driven, a mix dreamy, a bit raw and grungy, with a slight surf-coast edge. Lyrically, she’s fed-up and loud about it – dead-end jobs, the end of the world, love. But in that constant angst, there’s space for reflection and some really tender tracks – this gurl has a lot to deal with and music is her medium.
In the vein of modern pop acts like Olivia Rodrigo and Beabadoobee, with an added local aussie flair, à la Ruby Fields and Teen Jesus, Lulu and her five-piece femme lineup (plus Gus), have been busily preparing to launch new music – some banging singles, hot music videos, a whole-ass EP, and plenty of shows to come.
