British house veteran Luke Solomon, the founder of chart-murdering five-piece electronic group Freaks and head of seminal house label Classic with his good mate, Chicago house legend Derrick Carter, he’s been responsible for both creating and supporting some of the most innovative, original artists within the genre. After letting their label sit on the back-burner for a few years, the two have decided now is the perfect time to relaunch the label that did so much for the genre back in the day. This is pretty huge news – remastered classics from the likes of Ewan Pearson, Henrik Schwarz, Tiefscwarz and more? Yes, please! Seems like Solomon is keen to pull some of those classics out of his bag of tricks for the benefit of like-minded Melbournians soon, what with news of him hitting up town in the company of local heroes Otologic, Andee Frost and Simon TK.
