A one-woman show about a lifetime of behaving badly. Written, produced and performed by Lucy Best, Disgraceful is a hilarious journey into the life of a woman who is shamelessly disgraceful and always has been.
Through a mix of stand up, cabaret and sketch comedy, Lucy shares tales of her misspent youth, her ill-mannered childhood and her evident refusal to go quietly into middle age.
You may initially think that Lucy’s disgracefulness is on par with many other mere mortals but as the stories mount the audience realises that she takes it to Olympian levels. It’s clear that Lucy Best is and always has been disgraceful and she has no intention of stopping any time soon.
Lucy Best is a Melbourne based British comedian, director, actor, writer and musician. Recent credits include Unbridled for Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2022 and at The Butterfly Club in 2021, Motherfu(t; Storyville, as part of Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2021, and Sass and Chide; a split show on Zoom, as part of Melbourne Fringe Festival 2020.
Disgraceful is Lucy’s first solo show and is produced with mentorship from award winning cabaret star, Tash York.
