It’s been a whirlwind year for Lorde. Having recently been an 11th hour replacement at Splendour In The Grass following Frank Ocean’s cancellation, this week her track Royals reached the number one spot on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart, making her the first female solo artist to do so since 1996.
