Live at the Gardens has locked in its lineup, so now comes the tricky part: picking which shows to hit.

Live at the Gardens series returns to the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne for its fifth season in November and December, with a few more nights in March 2027, and even more to be announced for next year.

You’re no doubt all over who’s playing these incredible gigs, but here’s a quick refresher on who’s playing when.

Live at the Gardens

  • 21 November: Push Over – 40 Years of The Push
  • 27 November: SIX60 with South Summit
  • 28 November: DMA’S with FLOODLIGHTS and SLEEPAZOID
  • 3 December: Cat Power with Courtney Marie Andrews and Hedge Burners
  • 4 December: Dizzee Rascal with Example, Arrdee and Swaglord Savannah SOLD OUT

Renfair Rave

The team behind Melbourne Renfair Festival is turning the Gardens into a medieval kingdom, with roving entertainers, elaborate costumes and dragons. Dress-ups are very welcome.

On the main stage, Adriana, Milo Eastwood, SWEETIE and Yacht Club DJs will be spinning for the crowd.

Their earlier Melbourne Renfair Festival shifted 14,000 tickets in under 24 hours, and this one-night-only event is expected to go just as fast.

Push Over – 40 Years of The Push

  • 21 November
  • Bodyjar, Frenzal Rhomb, Killing Heidi, Magic Dirt, Regurgitator
  • Guests: Alex Lahey, Alice Ivy, Baker Boy, members of Public Figures, Ruby Fields, Teenage Joans

The youth music charity is marking four decades of backing young Australian artists. Each headliner will be joined on stage by a guest with a personal link to The Push.

Bodyjar, Frenzal Rhomb, Killing Heidi, Magic Dirt and Regurgitator will headline, and each band will be joined on stage by a guest with a personal link to The Push.

It’s a one-day-only event, with a lineup of artists whose music soundtracked generations of young Australians.

SIX60

New Zealand’s highest-selling live band plays cuts from Right Here Right Now, alongside Don’t Forget Your Roots, Someone To Be Around and Only To Be.

Support act South Summit mix indie rock, reggae and hip-hop.

DMA’S

The trio are celebrating the announcement of their fifth album. They’ll also play a Hills End anniversary set, 10 years on from their debut.

The trio have played some of the world’s biggest stages, including Glastonbury, Coachella, Lollapalooza and Splendour in the Grass.

Cat Power

  • 3 December

Cat Power is playing The Greatest front to back for its 20th anniversary, plus songs from her three-decade catalogue.

The American singer-songwriter is returning to Australia for a run of shows, with Live at the Gardens as one of the anticipated stops.

Dizzee Rascal

  • 4 December
  • Support: Example, Arrdee, Swaglord Savannah
  • SOLD OUT

The British rapper’s We Want Bass tour stops in Melbourne, with a bill that spans UK rap and dance music.

On the bill, Arrdee is one of the UK’s standout rap artists, while Swaglord Savannah is an Australian-Indonesian DJ.

The Grammy-nominated UK rockers play one night only, with tracks from The Clearing, which made the Mercury Prize shortlist.

The Live at the Gardens show is part of a run of summer headline dates around the country.

Hoodoo Gurus

  • 6 December
  • Support: RATCAT, The Stems
  • SOLD OUT

The Rewind Tour – All Killer, No Filler marks 45 years since the Gurus formed. RATCAT are celebrating 40 years as a group.

Support act RATCAT are a Sydney indie pop-punk band, while The Stems are a Perth garage rock outfit.

The Avalanches

This hometown show is part of a six-date Australian run in February and March 2027. Their fourth album, No Bad Memories, is due on 16 October.

The group has spent more than 25 years pushing what’s possible with sampling and collage.

Leon Bridges

  • 6 March (sold out)
  • 7 March
  • Support: 54 Ultra, Surprise Chef

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter brings The Happiness Anytime Tour to the Gardens for two nights, and the first has sold out.

Support act 54 Ultra are based in New Jersey, while Surprise Chef are a well-loved Melbourne band.
