In the lead up to Jack White’s new album, Boarding House Reach, the ex-White Stripes frontman has dropped the first single from the record along with an accompanying B-side.
‘Connected by Love’ spearheads the release, complete with a video from director Pasqual Gutierrez. Produced by White across Nashville, LA and NYC, it comes in the wake of 2016’s full-length compendium Jack White Acoustic Recordings: 1998 – 2018.
He’s backed by an eclectic bunch of musicians including drummer Louis Cato (Beyoncé, Q-Tip, John Legend), bassist Charlotte Kemp Muhl (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger), synthesizer player DJ Harrison, keyboardist Neal Evans (Soulive, Talib Kweli, John Scofield), percussionist Bobby Allende (David Byrne), and backing vocalists Ann & Regina McCrary of Nashville’s beloved gospel trio, The McCrary Sisters.
