Lime Cordiale, Dune Rats headline Tassie’s Party In The Apocalypse festival

Party In The Paddock

Tasmania's brand new Party In The Apocalypse festival is bringing a huge Aussie lineup to Launceston from December 3-4 this year.

Party In The Apocalypse is the new COVIDSafe brainchild of Vibestown, the team behind the much-loved Party In The Paddock (PITP) festival, which will provide a thumping, cathartic end to a maniacal year.

They certainly know how to throw a party in tough conditions (you can read our review of their last bash here) but despite the foreboding name, Party In The Apocalypse is set to be full-throttle celebration.

Kicking off the first weekend of summer, this two day, non-camping music & arts festival will take place at Churchill Park in Launceston, and bring some of the country’s best live acts to the state for one of the biggest lineups to hit Tassie since COVID began.

What you need to know

It’s an impressively diverse lineup, with Lime Cordiale headlining alongside rock legends Dune Rats, the angelic sounds of Cub Sport complimenting indie-pop festival sensations San Cisco, all making their way down south to kickstart the picturesque Tassie summer.

Methyl Ethel will bring their enigmatic art rock sounds with fans eager to hear new single Matters, while Ruby Fields is also included hot on the release of her new album, Been Doin It For A Bit. Punters will also enjoy sets from young guns; Sycco, King Stingray, Sly Withers, Teenage Joans and Noah Dillion.

Then there’s iconic Tassie favourites Luca Brasi alongside other local talent; Sumner, Chase City, DENNI and many more repping the Apple Isle. On top of a stellar music lineup, PITA will kick off the festival season with stand up comedy, DJs, karaoke and more.

Pre-sale tickets will be on sale to subscribers from 5pm Thursday 21 October, with public on-sale tickets released at 8am Friday 22 October. Tickets are available here.
