Sydney pop-rock heroes Lime Cordiale are about to take their toe-tapping bangers to soaring new heights with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra this September.
In a collaboration that defies genre boundaries, the beloved duo will perform alongside more than 80 classical musicians, transforming fan favourites into orchestral masterpieces. From stirring strings to thunderous brass, hits like Robbery, Temper Temper, Dirt Cheap and more are set to reach electrifying new dimensions.
The symphonic reinventions will be guided by renowned conductor Vanessa Scammell (who’s previously worked with Idina Menzel and Eskimo Joe) and arranger Alex Turley (known for collaborations with Rufus Du Sol and Dan Sultan).

These once-in-a-lifetime performances will see the full Lime Cordiale catalogue given the orchestral treatment. The collaboration promises to be both inspired and energetic, taking the band’s characteristic sound to unexplored territory while maintaining the cheeky charm that’s earned them a dedicated following.
The concerts form part of a wider Symphony Orchestra Tour, an intersection of classical and contemporary that has become increasingly popular. This particular pairing looks set to raise the bar for orchestral pop crossovers in Australia, so whether you’re a long-time orchestral enthusiast or just want to hear how Money sounds with an 80-piece backing, this is one September show not to be missed.
For those keen to secure tickets early, presales begin on Tuesday 25 March at 10am for MSO subscribers, followed by Friends of the MSO at 12pm the same day. Lime Cordiale waitlist presales kick off on Wednesday 26 March at 10am, before general tickets go live on Thursday 27 March at 10am.
