Let Them Eat Cake drops huge 2023 lineup

NYD festival Let Them Eat Cake has dropped its stellar lineup for its 10th anniversary in January.

If you’re the type of person who can manage to save yourself enough on New Year’s Eve (or kick on through) to enjoy a New Year’s Day event, then Werribee Mansion’s beloved New Year’s Day music festival Let Them Eat Cake has got you covered with a return to Victoria for New Year’s celebrations.

Celebrating its 10th-anniversary edition, the festival has also dropped a solid lineup to send out a decade of LTEC. “10 years. One decade. This is an evolution. A sonic liberation. Cultural release. Cause for celebration. Restart. Reset. Reinvigorate. After a decade of dance, arts and culture, LTEC returns with its 10 Year Anniversary.”

Taking over the mansion on Sunday, January 1 2022, the lineup will feature a huge array of international and local talent including Brazilian techno DJ ANNA, British DJ Bonobo (aka Simon Green), German DJ and music producer DJ Koze, London-based Elkka, Running Back’s Gerd Janson, KiNK (Live) – one of dance music’s preeminent live performers, Hungaro-Swedish DJ Kornél Kovács, London’s Moxie, Melbourne veteran Papa Smurf and german techno maestro Stephan Bodzin.

Joining them on the bill comes Paris, Shanti Celeste, Skin On Skin, X CLUB, Bella Claxton, Big-Mac, Fosters, Gumm b2b Luke Alessi, Katie Pearson, Kelly Tee, Marli, Mode B, North Barton, Ricky Nord, Tinika and Willem, just to name a few.

Following last year’s sold-out event, LTEC organisers are promising something bigger and better than ever before.

“LTEC has always stood proudly as a space that allows our punters to explore the union of music and art, with a focus on championing live, local, and world renowned creatives. This year, our attention grows and the fixation unravels – in our passion for freeing experiences in all forms. LTEC has been an event that pursues immersive pleasures, values self-indulgence, and finds satisfaction in all desires,” the festival announced.

“We invite you to say goodbye to the year that has been, and dance your way into the new year, while exploring what we have to offer on our heritage-listed grounds rich with clusters of music, culture, art, cuisine, and community.

“Our 10th edition will reveal a complete development of style and vision. While the familiarity of our playground lingers, an open space remains for a more transformative experience. As we enter another year, LTEC will draw upon our last nine editions and create an opportunity to reset and reinvigorate your senses, your passions, your visions.”
