DJ Sneak
DJ Sneak’s been a fixture in the scene since the early days of Chicago house, earning his stripes as one of the genre’s most respected figures. The Puerto Rico-born, Chicago-raised DJ revolutionised house music in the mid-90s with his signature filtered disco sound, influencing a generation of producers including Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx and Armand Van Helden. Carlos Sosa, known as DJ Sneak, moved to Chicago in 1983 where he discovered underground house music through Warehouse parties and mix tapes from pioneers like Farley Jackmaster Funk, Ralphi Rosario and Steve Hurley on local radio station WBMX.
Flo Massé
Since her Boiler Room performance in 2022, Flo Massé’s profile has skyrocketed, taking her to stages at Dimensions Festival in Croatia, Gottwood in Wales, Breakfast Club in Amsterdam and Closer in Kyiv among others. She completed her first Australia and Asia tour in September 2024 and returns to Melbourne for this intimate Solace show alongside Chicago house legend DJ Sneak. The night features support from locals Babycino upstairs and Anyo with Myles Mac back-to-back DJ Possum in the Solace Bar.
The night splits across two levels, with DJ Sneak, Flo Massé and Babycino taking over upstairs while Anyo and the duo of Myles Mac back-to-back with DJ Possum hold down the Solace Bar. It’s a solid lineup of local talent supporting the international headliners, with the intimate Croft Alley venue providing the perfect setting for a proper house party.
