Le Diner En Blanc Coming To Melbourne

Launched in Paris in the summer of 1988, founder Francois Pasquier had just returned from a few years abroad and wanted to hold a dinner party to reconnect with old friends. So many wished to attend that he asked them to meet at Bois de Boulogne dressed in white, as to be recognizable to one another. 26 years later, Diner en Blanc has expanded to over 40 cities, bringing together thousands of diners at some of the world’s most beautiful locations.

Diners are asked to dress in white, bring a picnic basket of food, silverware and china to a secret location revealed closer to the event. Hopefuls can register here.

2011 saw 1,200 diners, selected from over 30,000 hopefuls, come together for a dinner in white in New York City, while the inaugural 2013 Brisbane event hosted more than 1,000 diners.
