Last Dinosaurs have announced they’ll be taking new record Yumeno Garden on the road in March next year. This Australian tour sees the band hit up venues in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Melbourne’s Howler hosts Last Dinosaurs on Friday March 29, special guests are still to be announced.

Indie rock trio Sean Caskey, Lachlan Caskey and Michael Sloane are thrilled to announce the tour dedicated to their third record which has spawned singles ‘Domino’, ‘Eleven’ and ‘Bass God’. Yumeno Garden takes inspiration from ghost towns in Japan as well as the neon cityscapes of America. Receiving praise from fans and critics alike, this album sees the band recapture the dynamics of earlier releases.

Their latest single ‘Bass God’ showcases the band’s improvement and newly refined techniques.

“After a big night out I woke up in the morning feeling very contemplative about a thought I had during the peak of the evening,” Sean Caskey said of the single.

“I was standing watching all the people from different cultures and religions congregate to dance together.  This idea seemed so enlightening and interesting and I was imagining these people being united by a tall, long-haired, colourful faced-painted bass rock god playing epic bass lines that united everyone in a euphoric trance.  In the morning, I quickly wrote a spooky house track about that whole idea.”

Recently, Last Dinosaurs wrapped up an east coast tour with shows selling out in minutes. Tickets for all dates go on sale Wednesday October 10.
