Since being founded in 1967, La Mama theatre has been known for its cutting-edge, contemporary performances organised on the basis of a unique high-artistic-risk/low-financial-risk model.
Over the next few months, audiences are invited to celebrate La Mama’s 50th anniversary at their Mini-Fest showcasing short seasons of work from an array of talented artists. You can also catch their two-week season of David Williamson’s new play Credentials when the Mini-Fest ends to ensure the party continues.
If you want to know more about the theatre company, Adam Cass has written a book titled La Mama to celebrate the company’s rich history which will be launched at La Mama’s 50th birthday party in August.
