Kira Puru has gone in on Spilt Milk Festival (which today dropped their absolutely massive lineup, helmed by none other than Childish Gambino) for misspelling her name on promotional material.
The Canberra Festival misspelt Kira Puru as Kira Piru, catching the ire of Puru in the process.
“I consider this behaviour racist microaggression”, Puru wrote on Twitter. “I am going to use this opportunity to ask y’all to get it RIGHT. IT’s Kira MFKN Puru and if you misspell it, I’m going to make you double my paycheck. ”
