Pat Benatar was on the money when she waxed lyrical about the war of the sexes. Note to him: make no promises. Note to her: make no demands. The battle is as frenzied as ever. Just ask comedy queen, Kim Hope, who goes head to head with her comedic counterpart, Xavier Toby, in their show about relationships, She Says, He Says.
Ikea trips, boys’ nights, toilet seats and remote controls. What other grounds will warrant a battle in your show?
“Everything from delays in text messaging, to negotiating the way we communicate, to moving in together and breaking up. There may even be some mention of marriage and babies!”
What’s the most annoying male habit?
“The fact that they just don’t think like us. No matter how many times I point out the hand towel to my partner, he still uses my bath towel. If I hide that towel, then he’s on to my bath-robe. He says he does it out of love for me.”
Why are females superior?
“We can multi-task and look after people’s feelings at the same time.”
Why should audiences see this show?
“Women complain to their female friends about the men in their lives. It’s rare that we can prize open the male mind, dust it off and uncover some home truths. Our show will go that step further and even take questions from the audience. So if you’ve ever wanted to know what he’s really thinking when you say that, or how she feels when you act like that, then this show is for you.”
