Midwest troubadour brings vulnerable new album Little Wide Open to Forum Melbourne, Sydney and regional stages.

Kevin Morby has announced his Australian return this November, delivering full-band shows in support of his acclaimed eighth studio album Little Wide Open, out now via Dead Oceans.

Produced by Aaron Dessner (The National) and featuring heavyweight guests including Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Lucinda Williams, and Amelia Meath, Little Wide Open completes an unintentional trilogy that digs deep into American landscapes, relationships, and restless forward motion.

With singles like Javelin (performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live), Die Young, Bandlands, and 100,000, the record has drawn glowing praise from Pitchfork, The Guardian, Paste, and The Wall Street Journal for its quiet power and earned wisdom.

The tour gives Australian fans the chance to experience Morby’s intimate yet expansive live show across both major rooms and intimate regional venues.

Known for his poetic storytelling and warm stage presence, Morby has cultivated a dedicated local following through consistent Double J airplay and memorable sets at festivals like Brunswick Music Festival, Panama and Wanderer.

Little Wide Open paints a vivid picture of tangled highways, small-town America, and the uncertainty of moving forward, blending Morby’s signature Americana with Dessner’s tasteful, spacious production. It’s being hailed as a subtle yet profound evolution — recalling the heartfelt directness of Tom Petty’s Wildflowers while feeling unmistakably now.
