Humble – Lamar’s most-streamed song

Despite being released eight years ago, Humble remains Kendrick Lamar’s most-streamed track, getting a daily run of 1,011,942.

Humble debuted at number two and later peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming Lamar’s first number one and highest-charting single as a lead artist, surpassing Swimming Pools (Drank), which peaked at number 17 in 2012.

Coming in close second with 2,377,339 overall streams, and surpassing the daily streams with 2,418,429 is Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s 2018 track All The Stars, the lead single from Marvel’s Black Panther soundtrack.

Alongside Top Dawg Entertainment founder Anthony Tiffit, Kendrick Lamar curated the entire soundtrack for Marvel’s Black Panther, which hit cinemas in 2018.

Lamar recruited artists from different countries in Africa, matching the film’s director, Ryan Coogler, approach in casting actors across various African nations.

The big 3 in rap

Kendrick Lamar is named among the ‘Big 3’ in rap, generally referring to Lamar, Drake and J.Cole who are considered to be some of the most influential and successful rappers of their generation. While other rappers like Nas, Tupac, and Jay-Z are often mentioned in discussions about the best rappers of all time, Kendrick, Drake, and J. Cole are specifically recognized as the ‘Big 3’ within their respective era.
